The Guernsey Sailing Trust was established in 1988 to enable local children from all walks of life to experience and enjoy the fun and challenges involved with sailing, as well as to make the sport accessible to all.

We have been fortunate to be supported by many local businesses and charities over the years. Some have helped towards running costs and maintenance of our fleet and building. Many have sponsored a boat which is an ideal opportunity to have branding and advertising on a sail or hull. Just have a look at our photos and you will see how great they look.

If you are interested in sponsoring the Guernsey Sailing Trust please get in touch, we would be very pleased to hear from you.

Thank you to all our fantastic sponsors. Without your generosity the Guernsey Sailing Trust wouldn't be able to provide sailing for all the children of the Bailiwick.

Current Sponsorship Opportunities

 Sea Oppies    £1,500 each

2 out of 6 still awaiting sponsorship

The Oppie is the best boat for sailors to learn to sail in. These boats are suitable for children aged 5-14 and are by far our most popular boat. We are now hoping further the sailing skill of our youngsters by getting upgraded boats, closer to the racing boat, to use specifically on the sea for more advanced sailing session. This will also give sailors the opportunity to start racing if they cannot afford to purchase their own boat.

 8 Inflatable Windsup Boards      £4,960

The Guernsey Sailing Trust has been teaching windsurfing for a number of years and provides an after school club (Team15) for all comers from all schools, as well as senior school activity weeks, and Summer Holiday windsurfing lessons. We also work with the Youth Justice Department giving disadvantaged children the opportunity to windsurf. Our windsurfing boards are getting very tired after many years service and need renewing and updating. We would like to replace them with inflatable "windsups" which would give us the option of teaching paddle boarding as well as windsurfing.
