This introductory course covers the fundamentals of navigation, tides, charts, and safety awareness. It’s designed for anyone interested in sailing, powerboating, sea angling, or diving, and complements practical training such as RYA Powerboat Level 2, Powerboat Intermediate, Start Yachting, and Helmsman courses.

Once you have booked and we have received payment, we will give you access to the RYA Interactive portal. Your physical pack, containing training charts, exercise book, handbook, training almanac, plotter and dividers, will be available to collect from the Guernsey Sailing Trust.
Inform us once you have complete the course and we will issue your certificate should you meet the required scores.
