Risk Statement
Sailing, powerboating and associated activities are, by their nature, unpredictable and therefore inherently involve an element of risk. By participating, you are aware of the inherent element of risk involved and you accept responsibility exposing the participant to such inherent risk whilst taking part. The participant will comply at all times with the instructions of the instructors and safety crew, particularly with regard to all aspects of safety.
During sailing courses, there may be times where related activities take place, such as swimming and raft building (wearing buoyancy aids at all times). Scheduled activities will always take place under supervision of our instructors. While it is not essential that students are strong swimmers, all participants must be sea water confident. The GST LBG will not be responsible for loss, damage or injury resulting from any activities outside of the scheduled activities and course times.
Risk Assessments can be found under Policies.
