Free Sailing Taster Sessions ⛵🌊
Join us for a day of free sailing fun, with taster sessions running throughout the event both on the Model Yacht Pond and out on the water. Sessions will be led by the Guernsey Sailing Trust and Guernsey Yacht Club teams.
No experience needed. Just turn up, step aboard and have a go.
Our open day will be centred around the Guernsey Yacht Club balcony, where you can register whilst watching the sailing on the pond and the sea! Along with registration there will be a cake sale and BBQ. Once signed up sailors may go to the pond or the slipway to get out on the water. Harbour Slipway or Havelet Slipway shall be be used depending on the day’s weather conditions.
What You’ll Be Sailing
We’ll have a range of boats rigged and ready, so everyone from young children to curious adults can get involved.

Pop Into the Guernsey Yacht Club ⚓
The Guernsey Yacht Club will be open all day. Come inside, enjoy a drink, grab something tasty from the barbecue and soak up the atmosphere. It’s a great chance to chat with members and see what the Club has to offer.
Cake Sale in Support of the Guernsey Sailing Trust 🍰
We’ll also be running a cake sale, with all donations supporting the Guernsey Sailing Trust. Perfect for a sweet treat after your sail, and every contribution helps us get more people on the water.
Everyone’s Welcome 💙
The Open Day is completely free and open to all ages. Drop in for a quick try or stay for the whole afternoon. It’s entirely up to you.
